The national flag of Cuba consists of five alternating stripes (three blue and two white) and a red equilateral triangle at the hoist, within which is a white five-pointed star. It was designed in 1849 and officially adopted May 20, 1902.

 What do you need?  

  • Red, white & blue pom-poms
  • White glue
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scissors
  • Cardboard/cereal box/card stock 8 ½ x 11
  • Small white piece of paper for the star

This is a fun and easy activity for kids! Use the ruler and pencil to trace the flag from here.  Once you’ve traced the lines glue the pom-poms on to the cardboard. Let dry, and voila! You have a Cuban flag!
